It was meant to be me!! Hastings is where I managed to fit in playing my qualifier, but this young fella from Hong Kong, Jason Wong, (still at school and under 17 as I understand it) played very well all day to take out the event. That was hot on the back of him winning one of the PBA singles events at King’s Birthday weekend beating Mike Isaacson in the final, which is no mean feat as we know. Second was Scott Pedersen, and third my bowls buddy Paul Falvey.
