Taylor Horn bowled very well as you’d expect and earned his place in the finals, but the surprise package was Katarina Stepec who also won four games, and finished just one shot behind Taylor. She’s a junior bowler from Ohope who won the B.O.P Super Singles qualifier. I haven’t looked too closely to see if she got a favourable draw, but even then, it is what it is and she sent a message with her bowls. Third and fourth went to Terry Leadbetter and John O’Shea respectively in what was apparently a very attractive event for spectators, so let’s bring on the finals at this brilliant venue.
