Here’s a couple of very good bowlers who’ve earned their place in the Indoor 20,000 finals. Both had 4 from 4 wins, as did Dean Elgar and Adam Collins – but diff won out for these guys.

The first qualifying event at Paritutu was great from a learning perspective. The 14 end game of singles is certainly short form at around an hour, and looking at it, there was probably only one result where I thought, “How did that happen?”, unlike the set play of Super Singles which is a bit more raffle-like. So pretty happy that in this format, the cream gets to the top as when decent prize money is concerned, that’s gotta be a priority.

Many thanks to Sandra Zittersteijn yet again for being a star local organiser, and Paritutu BC for helping develop new formats as they’re always keen to do. There’s that much SFB action going on with SS and I20K qualifying events running at this time of year now, that I’ll probably stick to one news post per week that covers everything, and this week’s one a bit later on has plenty going into it.
